Introduction

The Housing Department and its field formation i.e Provincial Housing Authority (P.H.A.) came into existence in 2004 and 2005 respectively with a vision i.e. “HOUSING FOR ALL”. This Department is also geared towards implementation of the parameters of the National Housing Policy. The Department is actually an offshoot of erstwhile Physical Planning and Housing Department (P.P.&H.). In light of the vision, the functions and activities of the Department rally around acquisition of land, preferably state land or the private lands which after development into plots, are then subsequently offered to the general public and government servants at the affordable rates.
